Move forward calmly.

Loukas Mediation helps people resolve disputes with care and empathy.

How Does Mediation Work?

How We Help

Mediation, tailored to your situation

From family separation to disputes with neighbours, business contacts or in your reputation — these are the areas we work in most, and not the only ones.

Family Mediation

Property & Financial Mediation

Working out who keeps what — covering super, the family home, savings and debts — without the cost or conflict of court.

Parenting Arrangements

Care arrangements built around what actually works for your children, not point-scoring between parents.

Shuttle Mediation

For situations where being in the same room isn't right. Separate, private spaces — same mediator, same process.

Binding Financial Agreements

Assisting parties with negotiations for Financial Agreements.

Relocation & Complex Matters

When a move interstate or overseas is on the table, and parenting arrangements need to adapt.

FDR Certificates — Children's Matters

Where parties have genuinely attempted family dispute resolution over parenting arrangements, Daniel can issue a section 60I certificate. This certificate is required before most applications for parenting orders can be filed in court, and confirms that FDR was attempted or explains why it was not appropriate or did not resolve the matter.

Civil & Community Mediation

Neighbour & Community Disputes

Boundaries, noise, nuisance and other neighbourhood disagreements — resolved without a court date or a lasting feud.

Civil, Commercial & Contract Disputes

Disputes between businesses, partners or contracting parties, worked through with someone neutral in the room.

Privacy Disputes

Where someone's personal information or privacy has been compromised, and a workable resolution is needed.

Defamation & Reputation Matters

Helping people resolve reputational disputes directly, often faster and more privately than litigation allows.

Why mediate, not litigate?

Going to court isn't the only way through. Mediation gives you a real say in the outcome, costs a fraction of litigation, stays private, and — whether the relationship is a family, a neighbour or a business — tends to leave more of it intact than a courtroom fight does.

Before You Meet Your Mediator

A few things worth knowing first

Mediation feels less daunting when you know what to expect. These cover the questions clients ask most.

Meet the Team

The people behind Loukas Mediation

What Clients Say

Real experiences with our team

A few words from people who have worked with us, in their own situations.

A relative calling to find support for a family member said the team member who took her call was “soothing, professional, humane and present” — and that the relief she felt afterward was immediate.

— Anon, on behalf of a family member

Said the waiting room alone left her feeling cared for, and that everyone she dealt with made an already difficult time noticeably easier.

— Lecia, client

Called working with the team “an absolute delight” — patient, kind, and warm throughout.

— Josephine, client

A Perth solicitor outside the firm referred their own client to the team, and reported back that the feedback they received was very positive.
